It is less directional than OW1, and I can’t tell where damage (or enemies) is coming from. It’s tedious and frustrating.ĥv4 devolves into roflstomp more quickly than 6v5, so first pick dominates the next couple minutes. Once the tank dies, the enemy has nothing better to do than chase down the supports.

I made a detailed post about it in the beta forum and I’ll probably reproduce it here. There is a bug that renders her ult fairly useless, but even beyond that, she gets into a lot of hopeless situations.

Most importantly, still 10+ min dps queue It feels like the “best” way to play this game is to ignore the tanks and constantly go on flanks, regardless of which dps you are playing It’s kind of amazing how even with the buffed tanks you STILL get a lot of tank players trying to hide behind their dps the whole time.

But right now half the time you have one clueless tank and one much better tank and the team with the much better tank steamrolls. Maybe in ranked that will be solved by both tanks being relatively close in skill level. The most frustrating part is with the tank buff and removing one, that makes it so if you have a good tank or bad tank, that alone will decide the match. “People didn’t like cc? Well, we’ll only give tanks hard cc but we’ll give even more characters SOFT cc”īoth of these create new issues on top of not solving old issues. “People didn’t like tanks? Well, we’ll just have ONE tank and make them even stronger” Blizzard has taken too many half-measures with OW2. At least with 2 tanks you’re allowed to venture from meta and still be viable. I can almost guarantee 80% of the tanks will be no-play. Without a second tank everything is far too reliant on playing the meta, otherwise the other team is on auto-win if they play the meta tank. The sounds don’t suit the graphics or the sci-fi theme of OW at all.ĥv5 makes it far more likely to run into blowouts too. It sounds like I’m playing Battlefield 5 in some old world war. The new gun sounds are a horrible match for OW too. Of course it’s a tech demo, so I’m sure that won’t always be the case…but it’s an indication on where support is at. Literally NOBODY is queuing for support (I don’t blame them), so unless you want to play support, get ready to wait in 10+ min queues. Also haven’t seen a single Ult combo in about 20 games. While I hated shield meta in OW1, I loved the fact it took teamwork and coordination to break holds. It feels a whole lot more like Paladins with the “flank” heroes and weak support. So far my experience is that it’s just a deathmatch disguised in fluff to trick people into thinking it’s a teamplay game. Why does it still have all the candles it did when it was a nighttime map. A dumb nitpick: Dorado is a daytime/late afternoon map now. Nanoblade, Nanoclock (Sojourn), Nanovisor…and RIP if, again, you don’t have some kind of shield on the old maps.Īs previously stated, this just feels like deathmatch with more steps. Nano is still pretty busted though, put it on any DPS and it’s usually a guaranteed teamwipe. I find myself using Coalescence less for saving teammates anymore and more to try and get kills. Support Ults feel like they take forever to build, and feel far less effective. Do I think they intend to do anything about this, considering that this has been a complaint for like four damned years? Also no. With anywhere from one to no less shield (and god forbid if you’re not playing tank), a half-decent sniper on an old map with its limited cover/routes to travel through basically holds dominion. I might be able to adapt to this, though. I pinpointed what it was about Junkrat’s voice that bugged me, he sounds a little bit like a Batman villain? And not in a good way. I do like being able to hack healthkits while stealthed though. Although with Hack having been so severely neutered there’s literally no point in trying to focus on tanks with her anymore. She’s still not good, her gun is still garbage, but she’s better. Why on earth would I play him when I can play Tracer and just have good pulse bomb? Cassidy’s flashbang is now just a poor man’s pulse bomb.
